ANTHRO 402: Visual Anthropology

Short Film Reviews

When: Quasi-weekly (At least 10 required)

One of your assignments will be to make ten film review postings to the class blog during the semester. This does not include your mini-projects which should also be uploaded to the server as podcasts, vidcasts, or flash movies.

Postings should be about one page (250 words) in length and can include:

• A review of an ethnographic documentary film, book, or show that you've seen
• A report on one of the evenings with filmmakers scheduled by either Film Studies or Anthropology
• Some other topic related to visual anthropology

Grading: Posts will be graded on a +/check/- system. A plus is worth 1.5%, a check is worth 1%, and a minus is worth 0.5%. You can only make one post a week.
